Orientation- Getting Started
Nov. 3rd, 2019 07:00 pmWelcome to Alternate University, located at the center of the coast’s beautiful Newtownville! We’re so glad to have you join our community and can’t wait to see you grow and flourish. Will you invest your energy in a part time job, or is your soul simply screaming to study? Will you join a sorority or start a specialized club? Oh, perhaps you’re here on a scholarship! In any case, please don’t forget to enjoy yourself and make new friends, as well. Yes, grades and your education are of the utmost importance, but we all know one must live a little from time to time, lest we become shells of ourselves!
Now that you’re here, be sure to download the University's app; sleek and oh-so convenient, it includes a map of not only the campus, but also of the surrounding area, as well as reviews of local restaurants, coffee shops, boutiques and more! From within the app, you can customize your schedule for the semester, request dorm room maintenance, take a quick glance at your standing GPA, and browse job listings. Most importantly, it will allow you to connect with your fellow students and university staff at any timeas long as the system is up and running! Please feel free to express yourself and post whatever you like...within reason! Just be sure to adhere to university rules. No one wants an unexpected visit with The Dean....
Be sure to explore and make yourself at home! There’s so much to see and do and so many other people to meet. Study hard once you’ve settled in, and good luck!
